Lund Opsahl is seeking a creative, engaging, and dynamic collaborator interested in helping us enhance and expand our marketing efforts as we grow. Working closely with the firm Principals and Business Development Director, the Marketing Manager will facilitate a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at fostering engagement with current and prospective clients in the A/E/C industry. Detail-oriented and possessing a robust visual and written communication skillset, the Marketing Manager will serve an essential role in orienting company marketing strategies towards growth into the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Principals, marketing and business development team, to create and implement annual marketing plans that align strategy, vision, market differentiators and company objectives, including market research, competitor analysis and target audience identification
- Lead and Mentor team of marketing professionals by setting and evaluating goals and metrics and by providing timely, transparent, and critical performance feedback
- Plan and direct the work of administrative or marketing assistants/coordinators working on marketing efforts
- Develop recommendations for improved marketing strategies, goals, collateral and social media integration
- Establish and monitor KPI’s to measure effectiveness and reach of marketing campaigns
- Manage marketing/business development budget. Establish metrics to evaluate effectiveness of spending, including cost tracking process for all pursuits which require marketing effort
- Protect and enhance the Company’s brand image through consistent messaging and positioning
- Oversee website content and digital communications
- Manage, organize and pursue thought leadership and speaking engagement opportunities
- Conceive, create, organize, and maintain high-quality marketing materials in support of project pursuits
- Assist in preparing technical staff for interviews and presentations.
- Coordinate specialized consultants (photographers, website developers, etc.) in support of marketing needs
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, providing insights for improvement.
- Provide continuous, critical review of marketing collateral, file structure, data management and process; providing recommendations and roadmap for implementation and continuous improvement
- Direct marketing team input into conference activities, messaging, society meetings, collateral development
- Produce and present quarterly reports to Principals incorporating key marketing metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Design, Communications, or a similar, related field.
- 5 years of experience in management of a marketing team in the AEC Industry. (CPSM preferred)
- Proven experience managing the marketing efforts of a 30+ person firm within the AEC Industry
- Working knowledge of RFQ/P response process on public and private projects, with proven track record of success developing quals and proposals in the AEC industry
- Working knowledge of different construction delivery methods (DBB, DB, PDB, GC/CM, etc.) and ability to adjust collateral, in order to respond effectively to each
- Proven ability to drive company presence across multiple digital and print-media platforms
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to understand architectural/engineering literature and trends and to respond to and incorporate these in collateral, pursuit approach and outreach efforts
- Ability to think critically with strong conceptualization, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn and effectively interface with CRM and collateral management software platform(s)
- Strong graphic design principles, including layout, color, aesthetics, standards, and production techniques
- Extensive knowledge and ability in driving company presence across multiple digital and print platforms
- Understanding of technology trends and willingness and ability to implement effectively where appropriate
- Ability to manage workload within a defined schedule in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Effective written and verbal communication, including strategic messaging and technical writing
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of digital marketing principles and techniques, including SEO, content marketing, and social media marketing.
