2323 Elliott Renovation
This adaptive re-use of the former Art Academy of Seattle led by Unico Properties and B+H Architects seeks to revitalize and reintegrate the currently unoccupied building into the fabric of the surrounding community. Lund Opsahl worked closely with the team to create a new full-height entry atrium that provides light and interconnection at each floor, and provided critical diaphragm retrofit reinforcement detailing that allows for the installation of new rooftop deck amenities on a previously un-occupiable roof. Part of the push to reestablish Belltown’s beauty and importance since the demolition of the viaduct, the airy interiors, coworking spaces, and stylish design embody this growing neighborhood.
