The Cottages at University Place
With the baby boomer generation approaching the age of transitioning to senior housing, senior housing professionals are preparing for this influx of clients. A subset of the senior housing market is memory care, where quality providers are responding to educated clients searching for excellent programs, an emphasis on quality of life, and facilities specifically designed for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
Lund Opsahl provided structural engineering services for the design of a new four-building, memory care facility located in University Place. These one-story buildings include an administration building, three housing units, and a central outdoor courtyard. Security features unique to serving special care clients were incorporated throughout the community.
Lund Opsahl has provided structural engineering services for four other communities for this owner. Work includes both new building design and existing facilities renovations.
