UW Medicine Center for Behavioral Health and Learning
Designed to promote serenity and comfort, the new Center for Behavioral Health and Learning at the University of Washington Medical Center Northwest Campus will expand access to mental health care throughout the Pacific Northwest. Working closely with the prime structural engineer Thornton Tomasetti and architect SRG Partnership, our adaptability facilitated quick responses to foundation revisions to allow for a reconfiguration of the lateral system that allowed for more openness in the completed facility. Our expertise also provided the contractor with creative solutions to concrete shortages as the project has come into construction, which will mitigate delays in the project’s timeline. This project has required a high degree of coordination and dexterity from the entire project team to provide a facility that will broaden access to life-saving behavioral health care.
