Forest Trailhead at Woodland Park Zoo

The Forest Trailhead is a new 27,500 SF exhibit that offers visitors an immersive conservation-focused experience. The exhibit highlights the zoo’s important conservation work in Papua New Guinea, collaborating with local communities to protect the endangered tree kangaroos and its habitat. Visitors will experience treetops from a tree kangaroo and red panda’s point of view as they walk along the elevated two-story Canopy Path and get up-close with forest wildlife in the Trailhead Pavilion. Designed with a focus on sustainability, the pavilion will be constructed with locally sourced Mass Plywood Panels (MPP).

The Forest Trailhead project will spark passions for conservation, fostering the protection of our forests and empowering communities to build a more sustainable future.
