The new Performance Center provides the Husky Softball Team with a state-of-the art dedicated practice space. Lund Opsahl’s expertise and attention to detail were crucial to a successful outcome, including assisting with relocation to save costs and improve constructability. Senior Design Engineer Rebecca Rumann worked closely with architect SRG to develop an elevated platform for supporting a pre-engineered metal building on a slope that met the University’s budget and schedule goals. Design Engineer Scott Schroeder facilitated efficient collaboration with Mortenson during construction to stay within schedule constraints. The new facility has an array of retractable nets allowing the Husky Softball team the best opportunities for pitching, hitting, and agility training keeping them at the top of their game. Go Team!
