Redmond Senior & Community Center has achieved LEED v4 Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Highlights include:

  • Achieving the v4.1 credits focused on equity, carbon, resilience and health, which is a reflection of City of Redmond’s commitment to these values. This includes the first ever Climate Smart Wood Innovation credit awarded by USGBC.
  • Maxing out in exemplary performance for energy efficiency, renewables, quality views, integrative design and grid optimization.
  • Achieving the team’s aspiration goal, as LEED Gold was the starting point.

The project was recognized with a Merit Award in the 2025 AIA Washington Council Civic Design Awards program.
