Three Lund Opsahl projects were recently recognized for design excellence by the AIA Washington Council Civic Design Awards. These publicly funded projects reflect our commitment to sustainable, high-performing structures that serve their communities and clients with clarity, integrity, and purpose.
The Newhouse Building Replacement received an Honor Award. Part of the Legislative Campus Modernization initiative, this mass timber and steel building honors the campus’s historic character while introducing thoughtful, modern strategies that advance sustainability, resilience, and long-term performance.
The Redmond Senior and Community Center earned a Merit Award for its impact on community well-being. Rebuilt on the site of the former senior center, the new facility creates a welcoming, multigenerational hub that supports connection, healthy lifestyles, and the city’s environmental goals.
The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Mount Rainier View Village received an Honorable Mention. As the Tribe’s newest affordable housing community, the project delivers 58 high-quality rental homes across two phases, supporting long-term housing security and community vitality.
We’re grateful for the clients, communities, and collaborators who made these projects possible. Congratulations to all our project partners!
